Lenard's has previously been involved in sponsorship of Champion of Champions, The Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Cancer Council.
The Cancer Council
In 2007 Lenard’s has showed its support for The Cancer Council with the release of a limited edition Pink Ribbon Cooler Bag. The cooler bags are available to purchase in-store for $2.50 each, until stocks last. $1.00 from all sale proceeds of the bags will be donated to The Cancer Council to help fund research.
The Pink Cooler bags offer a convenient and safe method for transporting fresh chicken products from Lenard’s stores straight to the fridge at home. The cooler bags can be recycled and offer an environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic bags.
“We applaud the amazing work of The Cancer Council and are pleased to financially assist their research efforts by offering Lenard’s Pink Cooler Bags to our customers", said Lenard’s founding Director, Lenard Poulter. It is Lenard’s goal to extend our commitment towards helping find the answers to a health problem that effects so many.
Make-A-Wish Foundation Over the past years Lenard's has worked closely with the Make-A-Wish Foundation helping to grant wishes to young people with life threatening illnesses.
As a long time supporter of the Foundation, Lenard's, through the strength of our franchise network, has raised over $400,000 to become one of the largest corporate supporters.
Lenard's has provided support to the Make-A-Wish Foundation through the following initiatives:
- The launch of the Lenard's cookbook 'Meat with Lenard' from which all proceeds were donated to the foundation.
- Lenard's Franchise Owners have supported the cause by providing donation tins for customers to generously contribute to.
- Sponsorship of the 2003 Make-A-Wish Gala Ball.
Lenard's Champion of Champions
As major sponsors of the event, Lenard's was proud to support young Australian country music talent throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
The Australian country music industry has a reputation for encouraging excellence through performance and Lenard's believes that competitions such as the Quensland Country Music Festival's Lenard's Chamption of Champions event promote self confidence, community awareness, self discipline and social skills. These are qualities that we also foster with our own Franchise Owners and staff.
The competition gave aspiring artists, who had won through a series of heats conducted throughout Queensland, a chance to compete for the coveted Queensland Champion of Champions. The winner got their big break into the music industry with entry into the CMAA Country Music College and recording of their music. For several years Lenard's was the major sponsor of the event, taking great pride in assisting young Australians achieve their ambitions.
